Book shelves are a crucial part of design, great for showcasing collections, books, art, and dare I say “knickknacks”, along with keeping your home or office organized. Standard bookcases are useful and can spice up a “nothing” space or be extremely useful in a home office, family room or bedroom, etc. Bookcases can also be a work of art in themselves as with this book shelf by Reinier de Jong. REK is a bookcase that grows with your book collection. The more books the bigger the bookcase gets. The zigzag shaped parts slide in and out to accomodate books in the resulting voids. REK will always be full, regardless of the quantity of books. Also the books can be arranged according to their sizes. The narrow spaces are excellent for magazines.
